sleek looking umbrella never blows inside out! Nov 05, 2010

This umbrella sturdy and well made and I've never had it blow inside-out on me. This is my major complaint against most compact umbrellas. Too many joints means that they have too many weak points that can fail in the wind. This umbrella also has a satisfying "pop" when you push the release button to open it. It has reflective material near the tips of the umbrella that can help you find it and be seen in the dark. It feels large but is not too big that you look ridiculous and block up the whole sidewalk.
My only complaint would be the handle. I like that the hook is small and comfortable when I'm trying to hold onto it in the rain and wind, however it is not so great when I'm walking around with it closed. Most hook-handle umbrellas are large enough that you can hook them on your arm if you need a free hand but this one is just too small. The smaller handle does make it feel more secure when I'm hooking it onto a bag or backpack though, so it's give and take.
I also wish they would include a cover or umbrella bag as a courtesy to buyers.

The picture on the screen can be misleading (yeah I know that much), but the name of the color is also a bit misleading. Unlike a muted orange as "Mesa" might imply (my thought was South-Western warm and solid colors), this orange is Bright Orange - like Sherbet Orange or Tangerine Orange. Just in case, you are looking for a blend into the crowd color, this would not be my first choice.

This is a very pretty umbrella. It has some shiny safety stipes that don't show in the picture. It is not a huge umbrella but I was going for pretty and am quite pleased.

I got this umbrella in red and it looks great. I like how you just push the button and it flies open. The curve in the handle is nice and small so it fits in my hands well. The reflectors are a nice touch too.

I have been using the umbrella for walks with my dogs. The reflectors are a bonus during dark walks. It is easy to open and close, a good weight and so far has not shown any wind instability at all. I am very pleased with it.
