I like to be ably to Bang in the umbrella in the sand, at the beach, rather than dig a hole. this one works great.

1Waste of money!  Jul 20, 2008
Broke on the first use, but what can you expect when we are buying all this cheap, unreliable junk from China!

1HORRIBLE  Apr 27, 2008
We purchased this umbrella with high hopes for good sun coverage and a sturdy product that is easy to place in the sand. On our first use the umbrella was destroyed. The pole is super thin and a little gust of wind blew the umbrella wrong side out and bent the pole in the sand in half. It was destroyed after one use. Find a good umbrella with a thick pole that won't get broken first time out.

2Too much "hammer action"  Sep 28, 2007
Watch out for the "hammer Action which penetrates sand and grass instantly," as it also, as we found out, causes the pole to break in half after just three uses. Before it broke, it held up commendably against some pretty stiff breezes, so this might have been a positive review had the pole been sturdier.
