Beware - $10 return charge. No real warranty. Aug 23, 2010
By Z. Ali I purchased the automatic version of the metro Gustbuster. It broke (the hinges and materials are low quality) after about 18 months (I would use the umbrella maybe once or twice a month in Summer and maybe once or twice a week in Winter). When I called Gustbuster to replace it they told me its no problem and that I would need to send a check for $10. What kind of warranty is that? Your faulty product is going to cost me ANOTHER $10? I think not. Beware because this $10 charge is applicable to all of their umbrellas. I can testify to their poor quality. I will buy a Samsonite or Totes for another $15.

Pretty good Umbrella Jun 15, 2010
By H. Stevens I like my umbrella. My only complaint is that the release that extends the pole isn't so great. If I walk around (with it closed) letting it hand by the strap on my hand, the release lets go so it is fully extended. So I usualy carry it in my bag or I put the cover (that comes with the umbrella) on, which has like back pack strings on it. I have had the umbrella for about 4 months used it about 20 times, and so far it hasn't turned inside out.
Incredible Apr 09, 2011
By Bryce Urbany I was caught in a wind tunnel in NYC and this thing would not fold under any kind of weather thrown at it! Nice and compact size drops its weight down making it easy to fold up and carry around. Make sure you use the wrist strap or this thing will fly away from you.
I destroy umbrellas Mar 06, 2011
By EricW79 It's not my occupation or anything, it's just what I do. The walk to the office often gets windy, and for the last few years, I've averaged about 3 broken umbrellas per year. I'm not talking cheap ones, either. I figured I'd try the gustbuster, and a year later, it still looks like new. This is a great umbrella. Its very sturdy. I've used this in wind gusts up to 50MPH and I still havent turned it inside out. That said, when you're dealing with winds that strong, there's no point in using an umbrella, because at that point they all just become parachutes. But anyway, if you're looking for an umbrella that was built to last through windy conditions, this is it. I can't think of a single complaint about it.
The best against wind gusts! Dec 29, 2010
By MamaBear Nothing is more embarrassing than being caught in a rain storm after the wind has flipped your umbrella. I don't want to sound corny, but this umbrella truly lives up to its name. It really does withstand sudden wind gusts without even a hint of turning inside out. I can now walk confidently down the street in the pouring rain and know that the wind is no match for my umbrella.
