Doesn't even budge in real wind Apr 06, 2010
By Elliott Bäck I was looking for a replacement to my London Fog umbrella which deteriorated in NYC's strong winds. I have to walk to work along the downtown battery park / hudson river / west side highway wind, coming in straight from the sea, and am typically subject to high winds when it rains. Most umbrellas invert, flop around, break, etc under wind, but this one is holding up perfectly well!

Excellent umbrella! Sep 17, 2010

After my previous umbrella was shredded in a storm, I spent quite a bit of time shopping for a new one. I eventually bought the Leighton, and am very happy with it. It opens and closes perfectly with the touch of a button, it's easy to hold, and it wraps up well when it isn't raining. The size and design are perfect to keep you dry, without being too large. Most important, perhaps, it really stands up to wind. It is a fine umbrella and I am happy to recommend it. Oh... if you're a person of the male persuasion, no worries - the color is fine.
Great product Sep 07, 2011
By Gordon Lyon This is an excellent travel umbrella. It folds up small and looks spectacular. It is too small to cover two people very well. I haven't tested it in strong wind yet. This is now my favorite umbrella.

Strong But Tiny Dec 06, 2010
By hfm2211 So far this umbrella seems to have a lot of might. It's sustained some pretty strong winds. However, I was hoping for the umbrella to open up much larger than it does. It has a pretty small diameter. Additionally, the button on the handle tends to stick sometimes. I have to use both hands to get it to open. Even if the wind doesn't ruin it, it feels like the umbrella may stop working for me sooner than I want it to.
