A well rounded classic umbrella May 16, 2011
By Elmak The feel of this umbrella in your hand is something to note. It looks good on the arm closed, and the slope of the canopy is elegant when open. The leather strip looks nice on the handle at a distance; unfortunately close-up it is seen to be exceedingly thin and the stitching is overly visible. The wire ribs of the umbrella are unfortunately not as sturdy as I could have hoped: I was hoping for the fiberglass or plastic used in many new umbrella. It does appear to be reinforced however, so not all bad. The material of the canopy makes up for many of these minor flaws though: it is almost magic! No more wet umbrella's when you go indoors, one shake and 99% of the water falls right off. Teflon weaved in with the polyester is a brilliant idea.

Beautiful Product Nov 17, 2010
By Ashley J A well-made, beautiful umbrella. Carrying it around Seattle I feel positively dapper.
Not super big, which is only a problem when I'm wearing an overstuffed backpack.
The only thing I don't like is the leather band on the handle, which is poorly attached.

A bit heavy, but very nice Jun 30, 2009

This umbrella is very nice looking and very functional, yet its a bit on the heavy side for me.
Poor quality Apr 25, 2012
By Dave B. Extremely disappointed with this purchase. As some other reviewers have noted, the wooden handle does not look good when you see it up close in person. You can tell the wood is of poor quality. Not something an "executive" would be seen using ever. Not to mention the metal nut attached to the top of the handle was loose and sliding up and down when I opened it up. And to top it all off, I was charged a 50% restocking fee for returning this insuperior product.
If you're looking for a high quality, aesthetically pleasing umbrella then this is not for you. I would recommend the Joseph Abboud men's umbrella with the black leather handle, which is a far superior product and only costs marginally more.
